Bee Latte Art

Practice and follow along with the step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Build your base with the cup handle at 3 o’clock. Parallel to the handle starting at the centre of the cup create four drops - like you would with a 4 stack tulip but without pushing it forward. After last drop drag a line through the top of all 4 stacks.

‍Step 2: Starting in the middle of the line you just dragged at a 45° angle to the handle of the cup pour a 5 leaf rosetta curving it a little bit upwards and then another 5 leaf rosetta above the first one curving it a notch downwards and cutting through both of the rosettas. This will create one of the wings.

Step 3: Turn your cup and with the cup handle at 7 o'clock repeat step 2 to create a second wing.

Step 4: With the handle at 6 o'clock pour a 6 leaf Rosetta in front of the four stacks creating Bee's THORAX but for the sake of this tutorial let's call it a 'fuzzy collar'. Then turn your cup and with the handle at 3 o'clock drag your pour from the bottom end of the stacks connecting it with the first one and thus creating the outline of Bee's ABDOMEN/body.

Step 5: Keep the handle at 3 o'clock and create one small C-shape line right in front of your 'fuzzy collar' and then another one right above the first one - this will create Bee's antennae - finishing it by drawing a circle at the bottom of both which will be the eye.

Step 6: Now using a high to low drop technique drop a little bit of foam right under the middle of Bee's body and with a quick cut drag a line connecting it to the 'fuzzy collar' creating Bee's leg.

Step 7: Finish your design by dropping some foam in between Bee's wings creating a sun, and 3 drops of foam to create clouds at the bottom of your cup. Repeat the this as many times as you want to create more clouds.

Step 8: Et voila!
